Description

Watercolour drawing depicting a view of a log cabin, in a forest clearing, by a lake in summer. The location has been identified by an inscription on the verso stating the site is on Cusheon Lake, on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia. Biographical information reveals that Wilson and his wife retired to Salt Spring Island together with the majority of his eleven children where he continued his duties as clergyman but also was an orchard owner and farmer.
