Based on an ink drawing by Jules LeJeune, artist with Duperrey during his 1822-1824 visit to the Pacific. This watercolour version was prepared by Chazal and engraved as Plate 53 for L. I. Duperrey's Voyage ... sur la Coquille ... 1822-1825. Histoire du voyage. (Paris, 1826)
