Description

Botanical study of Darnel (Lolium album) and flote grass (Gramen aquaticum cum longissima panicula) with flower details. From a series of watercolours of English grasses and wild flowers by Richard Waller (MS/131). The paintings were possibly intended as illustrations for a catalogue of plants by John Ray (1627-1705).
