Plate 1: view of a quayside with a crowd of travellers with their luggage of sacks and cases, one man to right ascending steps from a lower level, and a few port officials, a flag with the Union Jack billowing from a wooden hut or waiting room; in the background to left, buildings including an inn inscribed: "Castle In[n] RN and Family" and to right a moored sailing ship is moored. 1829. Hand-coloured lithograph.
