Watercolour painting with a pen and ink border of the tomb of Jahangir (r. 1605-1627) in Shandara, Lahore. The painting shows the tomb set in the formal Dilkusha Garden, originally built by his wife, Nur Jahan. Trees are shown at the foreground and background of the painting whilst a rectangular channel of water is shown in the centre of the painting. The water channel leads up to the building, which as faced in red sandstone with marble inlay around the arches and on the main gateway into the tomb. On the four corners are minarets, which are decorated with geometric patterns of red sandstone and marble.
