Description

View of a palatial Chinese house with a man standing at the gate in the walls enclosing it and flags flying from poles to either side, with people in barges and two small rowing boats on a river in front and a man leading a child on the shore to right of centre. 1799. Hand-coloured soft-ground etching and aquatint.
