Description
River landscape with figures mining slate from the cliffs at right and loading it into wagons being pulled along the sand to the jetty across the water in the middle distance, woods and mountains on the opposite bank in the distance; after Horace W. Billington. 1811. Hand-coloured aquatint and etching.

Lettered below image with title, dedication to Abraham Sheath Esqr. of Boston, Lincolnshire by the draughtsman, with production detail: "Drawn by H.W.Billington", "Engraved by M.Dubourg" and publication line: "London, Published Augst. 12. 1811, for the Proprietor, by Boydell & Co. Cheapside, and Colnaghi & Co. Cockspur Street, Pall Mall."
