Description

This is a sketch of the south-east aspect of Kilmun Collegiate Church, Argyllshire, dated August 1802, but unsigned. It is likely to be one of Hutton's own sketches. This is one of several drawings and sketches of Kilmun contained in the Hutton Collection and, beneath the title, there is a note that reads 'See the more finished sketch'. This is a reference to another sketch in the collection, also from the south-east, but that shows the church, tower and surrounding countryside in more detail.
