Description

Inscribed: "Eliz. Talbot daughter & heir of John / Talbot of Oakeley - Olive daughter aged 18 / mother died in 1689 - / Gilbert 1613?".
This watercolour/drawing forms part of a small blue fabric bound Geo. Rowney sketchbook with leather bound spine. There is some gold tooling on the leather’s edge. There are 18 pages with watercolours identified including Arundel and Dover Castles. Several later ones are identified as locations in Norway. Early pages dated 1885, later pages depicting scenes in Norway dated 1892.
