Description

A Swiss soldier models the military costume of Zurich; he wears a dark blue waistcoat and breeches, a long pale blue jacket, grey knee socks with black shoes, a white strap across his chest to hold his sword and a black hat with a blue and white plume; he wears a moustache and carries a blue and white flag which extends upwards beyond the border of the image. Etching with hand-colouring.
