Description

Watercolour illustration commissioned by William Roxburgh. ROX1501.
In his 'Flora Indica' Roxburgh describes this plant as an annual, erect and ramous species, clothed with hamose pubescence. According to Roxburgh it is a native of Mysore and, at the Botanic garden of Calcutta, it flowers during the rainy season.
