Description

Watercolour painting with a pen and ink border of the Sunehri or Golden Mosque (Masjid) in Lahore. The painting shows the mosque, with its three golden domes (from where it gets its name) and two tall minarets. The mosque has a façade decorated with floral patterns and inscriptions. In front of the mosque is a courtyard and a square tank of water. The mosque was built in 1753 by Bikhari Khan, who was Deputy Governor of Lahore.
