Inscribed lower left: P.V. del. Ramsgate. Nov 19th 1836.
Princess Victoria stayed in Ramsgate from 1 October to 28 November 1836. While she was there she took almost daily walks (weather permitting) to the harbour to observe the sailors and their ships.
