Description

Second of two watercolours mounted on page 132. Haymaking scene, two men are loading corn on to a waggon, two men are standing on top of the waggon, another man is tending to the horses, there are two more waggons in the distance. The stooks of corn are lined up into the distance. A road crosses the scene from the left of the image towards the centre. There are two churches in the distance. Inscriptions: [on image bottom left] "Aug 17 1894" / [on back of frame] "Vol V P132 W3051 In Fordington Field from Came Down".
