This watercolour by Edward Dayes shows a view of Deskford Castle on the north-east coast of Scotland. Dayes did not travel to Scotland but based his watercolour on a pencil drawing by James Moore who visited the site in 1792. The sketch is in the collection of the Yale Center for British Art (B1975.3.738) and dates from September 1792. https://www.watercolourworld.org/node/206542
