Description

Landscape view of Stoke Rochford Hall park, Lincolnshire, England. A man on a horse rides up to an obelisk which was erected in honour of Isaac Newton. Newton was born in the neighbouring village of Woolsthorpe. Inscribed lower right corner ‘Newton obelisk at Stoke Rochford’. Painting from Collectanea Newtoniana by Charles Turnor, 1837.
