Description

This is a page from a sketchbook belonging to Henry George Willink (1851-1938). Willink married Marcy Grace Ouvry, of whom the sketchbook contains a portrait, on 9 September 1880. This sketchbook appears to record their honeymoon, with the sketches dated 10 September - 22 November 1880. The sketches record the couple’s travels from Dover, through France to Switzerland and on to Italy, returning to England via Boulogne.
