Description

Shows a stretch of the Whanganui River around Aramoho, with a large two-storeyed house amongst trees and lawn on the far side. The house is that of Major John Nixon. A canoe containing six figures is being paddled in the right foreground. A snowy mountain can be seen in the centre distance.
