Title devised by cataloguer based on information supplied by vendors' agent; Attributed to George Raper by National Library of Australia Pictures Branch; Detail of flower and seeds above image of whole plant; Part of the collection: The Ducie collection of First Fleet art; Inscriptions: "Natural size"--in pencil, upper right, against flower; "seed - Natural size"--in pencil, centre right, against seeds. The handwriting has been identified by the Curator of Pictures as that of George Raper, by comparison with handwriting in letters by Raper held at the Public Record Office, Kew (ADM 1/3092 Lieutenants letters, Surname R, 1796-1797); Watermark: Fleur de Lys, shield and scroll W. Medium: watercolour.
