A group of soldiers resting beside a gnarled tree around a fire, a man carrying wood approaching them on the left, at the top of a hill, overlooking a fort built on the top of a mountain, soldiers marching along the road at the base, from the left, a town surrounded by thick walls on a lower level behind to left and an aqueduct in the background to right; after Henry Smith. 1813.
