Description

Subject depicts a winter landscape with several architectural structures in the middle of a snow-covered area. Horses, carriages and people are visible amongst the architectural structures; two carriages are visible heading towards the structures. In the background are several snow-covered hills.
Whisky Forts were popular in the late 1800s. Americans would come up into Canada and trade with the Indians; the Americans would trade whisky for buffalo hides.
