Caption: "The ruins of Carew Castle on a branch of Milford Haven below Lawrenny once the residence of Sir Rhys ap Thomas who lived here in great splendor He was most powerful partizan in the interests of Henry Earl of Richmond afterw[ar]ds. Henry 7th who he met on his landing at Dale in Milford Haven in 1485 with 2000 horses. Pembrokeshire"
