Description

Watercolour illustration commissioned by William Roxburgh. ROX1459. In his 'Flora Indica', Roxburgh notes that this species is a native of the hills about Bangalore. ROXburgh reports that seeds were sent to the Botanic garden at Calcutta by Mr. Heyne. The plant flowers during the cool season. Roxburgh, 'Flora Indica' (1832) v.3, p.22.
