Description

View of the Seealpsee Lake on the valley bottom to the left; a small stream flows from it towards the foreground; beyond it are high mountain peaks with snowy caps; in the right foreground is a chalet outside which is a low stone building with logs on top and a group of cattle in front of it; a road leads from the house to the right, on which a woman stands with a child; a peasant sits on a rock, smoking; an artist sits on another rock, sketching, with a companion beside him who points at the view. Etching with hand-colouring.
