Description

View into an arched structure with statue of a reclining woman beyond and three arches at right, the fountain spouting from left, beside which a figure in classical dress draws, a companion sitting beside him; ruined pillar and a frieze with a procession in left foreground; after engraver altered from Jukes. 1796, this state 1798. Hand-coloured aquatint and etching.

Lettered below image with title within dedication to the Right Honble. Lord Clive, production detail: "From a Picture by R. Freebairn", "Engraved by J. T. Hauer" and publication line: "London Pubd. Decr. 1st. 1798 by F. Jukes No. 10 Howland Street"
