Inscribed in pencil, vso (trimmed): [...] / [W]e find from records that the people met in the [...] / [MJ ethodist church in 1875 for which they paid [...] / [re]nt. / [T]he present St Saviour's, Brock Memorial chur[ch] / [w]as started in 1877 to 1879. / Some of the foundation of the old / church is still standing
