Description

One of four watercolours painted in Malta. This one shows the captain's undress coat, epaulettes, cocked hat, white waistcoat, white pantaloons, black hessian boots, sword, sword-belt, white stock and yellow gloves
This is inscribed lower left 'Anton.' or 'Antonaci' but is known to be the Maltese artist Antonio Grech, working around 1800, when the British captured Malta.
