Description

Watercolour illustration commissioned by William Roxburgh. ROX1975. In his 'Flora Indica', Roxburgh writes, 'A native of various parts of India; when well advanced in age and size it flowers during the rains. About Madras it is very generally employed for fences, and there called Milk hedge'. The paper is watermarked 'Ruse and Turners 1805'. Roxburgh, 'Flora Indica' (1832) v.2, p.470.
