Description

This watercolour is based on a sketch from the Hereford Court Sketchbook, made on Turner's visit to Hampton Court in 1798. The drawing, commissioned by the Earl of Essex, was engraved for John Britton and Brayley's Beauties of England and Wales, published between 1801 and 1816.
