Description

Head of a prince. Single-page painting or tinted drawing mounted on a detached album leaf. Portrait in profile. Prince is wearing a green patterned turban adorned with pearls and a ruby. Additional pearls at ear and neck. The turban, jewels, hair, eyes and mouth are the most prominently coloured portions. Gold ground. Very narrow line border. Ink, opaque watercolour and gold on paper.
