Description
The building depicted can be identied as The Old Forge, Llanbedr-y-Cennin.
Church House, Llanbedr, was the home of GC’s father-in-law, John Henry Cole, probably from 1868, and the village of Llanbedr became a small artists’ colony in the late nineteenth century. Cockram addressed a letter from a Llanbedr address in 1905, and his younger daughter was born there in 1899.
