Description

Warwick Castle seen across the river with the gatehouse towers in the far right corner, with a bridge to left, a small house among trees on the bank below the castle, a family sitting on a fallen tree-trunk at the edge of a wood in the left foreground on the near bank and a man pushing a boat away from the shore; the fourth of a set of four plates. 1776. Hand-coloured etching and aquatint.

Inscription

Lettered within the image, lower left corner 'P. Sandby 1775'. All inscription trimmed away. Annotated in brown ink on the verso with the title
