Description

Inscription reads: Inside of the cottage at Baldo.
In 'Art of William Light', Elder writes that Light was in Sardinia in 1829 and after leaving La Maddalena 31 October, subsequently rode inland on horseback, going as far as Baldo. Original sketch at least probably dates from this time; the watercolour probably somewhat later.
