Description

A painting of a fair in the foreground. In the background we can see the great tower of St. Peters Church. Turner travelled around the Midlands in 1794. He would have travelled through Wolverhampton while the annual fair was held. This would begin on July ninth and lasted for eight days. We can see the fair in the foreground. In the background we can see the great tower of St. Peters Church.
