Description

Watercolour illustration commissioned by William Roxburgh. ROX2322. In his 'Flora Indica', Roxburgh describes this species as an armed tree, native of Malabar. Roxburgh reports that seeds of this species were sent, from Anjenga, to the Botanic garden at Calcutta, under the Canara name 'En-mouricou'. Roxburgh, 'Flora Indica' (1832) v.3, p.251.
