Description

Mounted watercolour of the Santa Maria della Spina church in Pisa. On the bottom right hand corner is //R.T. Sep.1869//. Built 1230-1323, to house a thorn from Christ's Crown of Thorns but rebuilt on the present site in 1871. On the backing underneath the bottom left corner is //Sta Maria Della Spina, Pisa
