A watercolour drawing of the Hermitage at Frogmore, with a gentleman seated in the porch, a dog at his feet. Mounted on a grey and black wash-line bordered mount, and inscribed below in pen and ink over pencil, 'Hermitage in Queen's Lodge Frogmore. Howett Delin.' On the verso, traces of blue backing paper at each corner. Inscribed in pencil in various hands '[modern] Built in 1775 at the cost of £44,000'; 'Queen's Lodge at Frogmore by Howett.' and with the numbers 95 and 02701. Inscribed at the lower right corner in pen and ink, in a late eighteenth- or nineteenth-century hand: to retn F/.
