Description

The temple is inspired by the Tempietto di Sant'Andrea sulla Via Flamina, Roma, designed by Vignola in 1554, and influenced in part by the Pantheon. Van Wittel also made a drawing of the Tempietto itself. Signed with initials 'G.V.W' and inscribed and dated 'Roma 1716'
