Description

Watercolour drawing showing a view of Newport and the River Medina, Isle of Wight by an artist in the circle of Thomas Rowlandson. Isle of Wight Tour 1780s or 1790s. 'With pencil inscription 'Newport River' lower centre on the mount and further inscribed 'Harbour / Newport' on the reverse overmounted. Pencil, pen and ink and watercolour on a grey and green wash-line mount.'
