From the Collection

A watercolour drawing of the North front of Windsor Castle, seen from below. A long wall runs across the centreground, with a white cottage with red roof on the far right. Inscribed in pencil at lower right, 'Drawing by T. [?] Sanby'. Probably a design for a project to add a Picture Gallery at the West end of the North Terrace by extending Queen Elizabeth's Gallery. Another drawing (RCIN 914592) shows the same view with the proposed additions, and another (RCIN 914591) shows an elevation for the Picture Gallery. The project was never carried out.

Descriptive Medium: 'Pen and watercolour', 'pen and ink', 'watercolour painting'
