Nine Elms, London, England
Pen and brown ink and watercolour heightened with bodycolour. Prout’s first visit to Germany was his Rhine tour in the summer of 1821 but he first visited Nuremberg on his 1823 tour (see Richard Lockett, Samuel Prout, 1985, p.53). He exhibited three Nuremberg views at the Society of Painters in Watercolours in 1824 and one in both 1825 and 1826.
