Tww Comment

This shows the temporary station that served passengers at Paddington from 4 June 1838, after Isambard Kingdom Brunel was asked to abandon his grand original plans for Great Western Railway (GWR)'s London terminus due to escalating costs. The station occupied the arches of Bishop’s Bridge Road until the 1850s when Brunel's new designs were put in place.
