Scope and content: A separate sheet has been included below the image. The sheet bears the following inscription in pencil: Quebec.Canada/Prescott Gate/Thomas Wakeman del. Artist File: Wakeman, Thomas: Inventory number I-6. Former location note: Room 12, 21-C-9. Thomas Wakeman was an English watercolourist who visited North America about 1850 and painted over forty views of cities and towns from Boston, south to Washington.
