Brazillian men carrying large barrels along a street, one group at left with their load hanging from poles, another at right hauling the barrel along on a cart; after Lieutenant Chamberlain, illustration from 'Views and Costumes of the City and Neighbourhood of Rio de Janeiro', c.1822. Hand-coloured aquatint and etching.
