From the Collection
First identified as a 'Street in Seville' after a 1864 sales catalogue this square actually corresponds perfectly to an image of San Francisco square in Cadiz. The Franciscan Convent, on the right, is identifiable by its door decorated with Baroque motifs. The bell towers that surmount the buildings of the square, and the two-storey building with a balcony, have barely changed today.
