Description

View in Marylebone Gardens; a group of musicians play from the terrace of the building on the right,a promenade down centre of gradens with slim tall trees on either side; elegantly dressed figures in foreground, women with large elaborate dresses and men wearing three point hats mingle amongst one another. 1755, this state 1761. Etching and engraving with hand-colouring.

Inscription: Lettered below image with title in English and in French, and with production details: "I. Donowell del / Publish'd according to Act of Parliament July 1761 by J. Ryall at the Golden Lion in Fleetstreet, London"
