Caption: "View of the ruins of Lamphey Court near Pembroke from the interior they mark a mixture of castle & monastic architecture the founder is unknown but it dates prior to the reign of King John. It was one of the many palaces belon[in]g to the Bishop of St Davids in this county the present principal ruins are those of the chapel & a detached building w[i]th open arches on its parapets similar to those at St Davids"
