Description

Watercolour (ink & colour wash) on paper showing view of Shelburne Harbour. Dark scrub ground in foreground, distant fencing and houses at left; gambrel-roofed building to right of centre; trees, hills, building in far distance at right. Paper has been glued to heavy card page of an 1893 calendar. Believed to have been painted by Capt. William Booth, Royal Engineers, 1787 (unsubstantiated).
