Tww Comment

Villa Negroni was originally called Villa Peretti or Montalto until it was purchased by Cardinal Giovanni Francesco Negroni in 1696. It was pulled down in 1888 to make way for the construction of Rome's central station. The Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore can be seen in the middle distance on the right.
