Description

Watercolour illustration commissioned by William Roxburgh. ROX2301. In 'Flora Indica', Roxburgh notes that 'the leaves of this plant are a powerful discutient, and by the Malays employed to remove the boss.' The drawing is on wove paper watermarked 'J. WHATMAN 1808'.
